SA: SA Labor Party refuses to rule out new taxes

ADELAIDE, Feb 20 AAP - The South Australian Labor Party today refused to rule out newtaxes to fund projects which won it the support of a key independent.
Independent MP Peter Lewis gave Labor his support - and 24 seats in the 47-seat LowerHouse - on several conditions.
Among them, Labor agreed to make it conditional on owners of water licences to payannual contributions towards local government infrastructure and the establishment ofa weed eradication program for branched broomrape.
